“HELLO?! OHH!!! HELLO!”

-Jordan Jackson

I’m a Brooklyn based, non-union, multi hyphenate artist and a Liberian girl thru and thru (how my people doing ohhhhh).

Storytelling is my life’s greatest passion.

As an only child, I was often left to entertain myself by building a world of my own imagination: colorful characters, unique time periods and hyper-specific new environments. It’s a pastime that sticks with me no matter how old I get.

When I studied at the Lee Strasberg Institute (via NYU Tisch), the idea of combining lived experiences with an elaborate imaginary world, simply made sense. The core principal of building/existing in a world that constantly surprises you is something that I’ve always carried with me. The marriage between whimsical outlandish elements and harsh reality is a signature staple of my work. Life—and art—is just as familiar as it is mystifying.

You can often catch me:

—On an adventure or side quest

-Enthralled by a stranger’s life story

—Quoting Jersey Shore and Love Island

—Playing around with fashion/ my signature style

—Defending pescatarianism and left-handedness

—Adding to my list of “perfect albums”

—Yelling things like “aye!”, “period!” and “exactlyyyyy!”
